Some useful tips........ .....

Live Life Without Limits - BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS

1. No Breakfast

People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level.
This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2. Overeating

It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking

It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High Sugar consumption

Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causing malnutrition and may interfere with brain development. .

5. Air Pollution

The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6. Sleep Deprivation

Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.

7. Head covered while sleeping

Sleeping with the head covered increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8.. Working your brain during illness

Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts

Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely

Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain

The main causes of liver damage are:

1. Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3.. Too much eating.
4.. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming raw (overly done) foods also add to the burden of liver.
Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We should prevent this without necessarily spending more. We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to 'schedule.'

Heart attack! How to react?

15 minutes could make all the difference between life and death

When confronted with someone having a heart attack, do not panic. A heart attack is a condition when blood flow to the heart gets blocked because of clot formation in an artery. If the flow of blood is not restored quickly, then due to lack of oxygen and nutrients the heart muscle becomes irreversibly damaged. This can lead to death.

Heart attack is a state of medical emergency. The first hour is referred as ‘Golden hour’ and treatment is most effective.

MOST COMMON SYMPTOMS ARE:
Heaviness or discomfort in the chest Shortness of breath Pain radiating to shoulders and/or jaw Dizziness Nausea A low pulse Sweating Vomiting

It is often observed that the symptoms can be vague and mild, but it is important to keep in mind that heart attacks producing no symptoms or only mild symptoms can be just as life-threatening as those with severe chest pain. You shouldn’t ignore the symptoms attributing them to indigestion, fatigue or stress as it delays in getting prompt medical attention.

YOUR FIRST STEPS
STEP 1 - Make the patient lie down in comfortable position and give him an aspirin to chew. (It reduces mortality by
15 per cent, but don’t take aspirin if
you are allergic.)
STEP 2 - Right away, call for an ambulance to take the patient to the hospital. (Keep emergency phone numbers in your
vicinity.)
STEP 3- If the onset is sudden, with a full blown cardio-pulmonary arrest (where the heart stops beating), do a Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), even if you are untrained. Imperfect CPR is far better than no CPR at all.
CPR STEPS
Place the patient on his back.
Put heel of your hand midway on the patient’s chest.
Push down so that the chest is pressed inward one-and-a-half inches.
Perform 100 pumps per minute (almost two per seconds) until help arrives.
STEP 4 - As soon as the patient reaches the hospital, get an electrocardiogram (ECG) done.
STEP 5 - After confirming the diagnosis the patient is given injectable medicines (thrombolytics or clot-busters) to dissolve any dangerous clots (these can also be given in the ambulance on the way to the hospital). Early recognition helps; every 15 minutes wasted leads to a 30 per cent increase in mortality rate. If the delay is beyond four hours, clot buster drugs do not work.

100% - very good one

A boy and a girl were playing together. The boy had a collection of marbles. The girl had some sweets with her. The boy told the girl that he will give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets. The girl agreed.

The boy kept the biggest and the most beautiful marble aside and gave the rest to the girl. The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised.

That night, the girl slept peacefully. But the boy couldn't sleep as he kept wondering if the girl had hidden some sweets from him the way he had hidden his best marble.

Moral of the story: If you don't give your hundred percent in a relationship, you'll always keep doubting if the other person has given his/her hundred percent.. This is applicable for any relationship like love, employer-employee relationship etc., Give your hundred percent to everything you do and sleep peacefully .

From a Satyam employee - good one

As a techie, I can't stop appreciating this Satyam guy.

-----------------------------------------------------

I (Satyam Employee) am deputed at client location and came across a very interesting conversation in cafeteria yesterday. One of my co-worker, also deputed with the same client through some lesser known two room company, mustered guts to ask me sarcastically in front of entire team, "So, Satyam is gone! What are you guys planning to do now?" In normal circumstances, I have a habit to not to reply to lose talks, but in front of entire team.... I thought I need to fix this guy's thought process. I asked him, as my military training has imbibed in me the habit to fight till last breadth, "Who says Satyam is gone when I am very much alive here and committed to create value on behalf of my company?". He shot back, "Hello Mr., your chairman has resigned, you guys are facing financial turbulence and you still have a face to say that Satyam is not gone!"

At this juncture, I thought of replying to this guy in his own language. I asked him, "Tell me, what will you do and where will you go if our country India was not there?" He was not prepared for this level of thought and asked back, "What a stupid question, How can India be gone, it is a country?" I asked him back, "Country! What makes a country? Land? Economy? Our Prime Minister? Our President? Our Geography? Or the PEOPLE? If our PM resigns, will you say India is gone? If our economy faces a slowdown, will you say India is gone? But yes, if the people of a country are lost for any reason, we will say that country has no meaning. Who cares of vast land of Antarctica today which has just one permanent resident, Father Georgy? Which country does it belongs to? Why does not it has any government? Why does not it has any economy? Or, how many countries were there when humans used to hunt for food in pre-historic times? Countries, Wealth, Infrastructures and booming economies are nothing but creations of efforts of PEOPLE, and they do not have any existance on their own. And the final blow was, "When one man can create Satyam as an organization of 53,000 people, why not 53,000 committed people can rebuild one SATYAM?"

The wife and the window!!!

A young couple moves into a new neighborhood. The next morning, while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hang the wash outside.
That laundry is not very clean, she said, she doesn't know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.
Her husband looked on, but remained silent. Every time her neighbor would hang her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.
About one month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband: "Look! She has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this.
" The husband said: "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows!"
And so it is with life: "What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look. Before we give any criticism, it might be a good idea to check our state of mind and ask ourselves if we are ready to see the good rather than to be looking for something in the person we are about to judge. "

The Law of the Garbage Truck

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.

So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so... ·

Love the people who treat you right. ·
Pray for the ones who don't - that they see the wisdom of their foolish ways'

New Year, New Resolutions- An appeal to my friends

Hi friends,
I wish u & ur family a happy new year 2009. May this new year brings happiness, health & wealth.

Lot of people will have lot of resolutions on this new year, but helping the humanity may top the chart. I thought new year would be the right time to spread this message. I know many of you must be returning some the wealth, that God gave to us, back to the society. I'm giving here some organizations info so that atleast some of this audience would respond to the needy.

Help the needy, God will help you back.

1. Provide scholarships to the needy through BREAD www.breadsocietyindia.org/ or NSF (US) http://www.northsouth.org I've been donating some amount to these orgs for the last few years. The entire amount we donate will be passed on to the needy and the organization is being run thru the interest

2. I visited a poor students' ashram Chavadi Child Welfare Society, Telecom Nagar, Gachibowli (www.tccws.org) recently and distributed fruits, biscuits and chocolates. I spoke to the director of this org for any donation, but he told me that they have sufficient funds for the current strength and suggested me to sponsor any bright student after 10th. I need to go to this school again to interact with the kids. Similar organization is Samyuktha Foundation samyukthafoundation.org . They run schools for the children of construction workers. I need to visit one of these schools.

3. www.shareaservice.org/ A meeting place for donors and the organizations.

4. Ramakrishna Math at Indira Park: I've been visiting Math and used to donate money for annadaanam on special occasions. You can donate that suits your pocket and program. The best thing with this Math is that they provide food only for kids, ladies, elderly people and physically handicapped. They spend Rs 3000 a day. They also provide free education thru Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence; you can also donate for it.

5. You can also donate to any needy people based on news from papers. I responded in 1 or 2 cases.

6. Donate blood. You can register here www.friendstosupport.org/. I registered here and donated blood recently in the office

Dedicating this message to Swapnika, the acid attack victim, who lost her life on 31st December 2008 after fighting for 22 days on bed. May her soul rest in peace.

Have a beautiful & wishfilled year ahead.
